Now I need to dust-off my thinking cap and my quill…it’s been a while…

Wow! I can’t believe April is here again. In addition to me getting older and soon getting kicked off unemployment soon and spring and stuff, it is POETRY MONTH! Since I’ve been doing so well with posting on my blog regularly (I pray you hear the dripping sarcasm), my vow to write a poem every day will be cake, right?

As a poetry month finale, I would like to try doing this group poem (renga) again, with the internet. It won’t be that hard. I promise. The form is haiku-like and only requires counting a few syllables. There is no rhyming, and knowing my friends and me, the poem will be light and fun in nature. If interested, show me some kind of sign.

And now a haiku about poetry month (I almost forgot to do this today, so I’m making it up right now):

The month of my birth
is a month of poetry
I’m rhythm and rhyme
