Oh, Prentice. Why haven’t you been posting more? Seventeen days is shameful. Well, I know the “I’ve been busy” excuse is lame, but that’s what I’m going with. I’ve decided I would borrow the idea I gave Joie for her blog and do a photo journal of what the frack I’ve been up to for the last month or so.
First, I threw Joie’s Rainbow Party at my house. It was filled with Nyan Cats, rainbow sweets, spirits, games and good friends. It was a colorful success!
.
The next day, Joie, her folks and I were off to Destin Florida. We got one nice beach day before Hurricane Issac threw-up all over our vacay. I dug and built a fort around myself while Joie read a book. When it was raining, I did a little writing, and Joie started a fairly accurate depiction of our beach day…as our pony personas, Stardust Rush and Stawty Sprinkles. I can’t wait to see it finished! We also played games and watched movies. It was relaxing, even if the weather was not ideal.
……….
A couple days after our return to Atlanta, it was time for Dragon*Con! This year I only got to attend on Sunday, but it was fun. Joie and I went to the Brony Panel and hit the Artist Alley. I ate at Hooters too many times (No complaints though. Love that place) with friends and ventured through the city and parties with The Magical Friends (My husband’s Magic the Gathering buds). I still find the con overwhelming, and I wish I could have done even more! I went ahead and bought badges for next year while at the con, so hell yeah I’ll be there next year. I already have some costume ideas in the works (Yup. I plan to dress-up. I missed doing it this year.), and I think I’ll start getting the hand of this gigantic Nerdigras Celebration next year.
Finally, I went with my folks, my grandmother and her bf to St. Augustine. I was very sad that my husband and brother could not join us, but we still managed to have a fantastic time. The beaches are so beautiful, and the city is filled with gorgeous architecture, delicious food and rich history. I can’t wait to go again!
And on top of all this, I’ve been working on Freelance Prentice, writing and voicing my way to occupational freedom and away from unemployment. Being me is a full time job!
Huzzah for photoblogs! They’re just such a great way to convey a ton of information at once! Of course, mine had less writing, but that’s because that was the part holding me up. I’m glad you talked me into doing my catchups that way, and into a once-a-week format! So far I’ve updated on a Monday TWICE. Go me! Now if I can just manage to keep up with it. X’D
Also, I gotta say– my trip home was fabulous because I got to spend MOST of my time with you! And, next year at D*Con…. Fionna and Cake. Fo sho. ❤
I think you’re currently doing a better job than I am. ROFL. And yes. I can’t wait to be yo sassy cat!
